Voluptuous Summer Abounds

Young Sorraia stallions Gosto and Capaz at the
Ravenseyrie Sorraia Mustang Preserve

The voluptuousness of summer abounds.  How pregnant with rich colour the landscape is!  How sleek the steeds that gallop over it!  And how little time there is for writing about all this wondrousness...its tourist season and the Ravenseyrie Art Gallery is "making hay while the sun shines".

June got by without a Journal of Ravenseyrie entry, but I will share a few photos from that time and the present.  And...just a hint of a big entry soon to come.

How richly coloured the Whitetail Deer are in summer, and how proud
their bearing!  Magnificent!

Magical!

Perfection!

Who would imagine July would be so chilly requiring an insulated jacket???

Summer grasses!  Sine qua non!

This year, I saved the horses' winter hair.  Soon I will tell you why!

I just love all of the photos. Your words make me feel as if I am there seeing what you see.

Lovely summer impression Lynne! Your art is amazing! Tomorrow we are going to visit the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Finally seeing Rembrandt's "Nachtwacht" for real. Rudolf's wintercoat is coming your way 😊

How astoundingly you have captured the raptures of midsummer in such a precious place! How gleefully I gaze at your so perfect renditions in watercolor (?) of your subjects! How fascinated-ly I wonder what next with the fuzzy stuff stuck in the brushes! My head spins! (with possibilities)

Thank you for these comments from Anonymous, Annemiek and Opinionated.

Another month has gone by and my special article devoted to horse hair remains unfinished, but I promise you, before the snow flies, I will reveal what special undertaking I have been pursuing!
