Some might wonder which horses remain in our Sorraia preservation project that was based on our Portuguese Sorraia stallion, Altamiro and 4 Sorraia Mustang mares from North America.
Today let’s list them!
Here with us at our home range we have all the boys:
Altamiro

And our mares living on the Twinravens range:

hi lLynne, thats a mighty strong group. Anyone missing? What are there ages now? All well at Ravenseyrie?
Thinking of you often.

So wonderful to see you here. I have missed your posts very much as I no longer visit manitoulin. I miss your poetry also. I’m looking forward to more posts perhaps of the females. Do you have a long term plan for the herd? Mary Ann Crayton
So sorry, Eva! Blogger no longer alerts me when someone leaves a comment. All is well at Ravenseyrie! No one missing. The youngest is Rija, who will be 10 years old this year! The oldest is Zorita at 21. Amazing! I think of you, often as well and will be in touch better sometime in the next few weeks.
Apologies Mary Ann Crayton! Blogger no longer alerts me when someone leaves a comment. For sure my posts here are not at all as frequent as before, especially with our ladies living an hour drive from home and now Kevin is shouldering the burden of driving down weekly to make sure all is well with them on their wonderful range in Tehkummah. Our long term plan for the horses is to maintain as is. Conservation interest in them by others has not panned out in the manner we had hoped it would. Should there come to be an interested party in carrying on with a breeding herd, we would considered assisting with members of our two bands. I'm thankful for what we were able to contribute worldwide to conservation of the Sorraia and Sorraia Mustang and am grateful both Kevin and I are able to continue to support our two groups of these fabulous horses. Wishing you good things, Mary Ann!
Hi, Lynne,
I think there may be a "spam" post (?) on your April 2023 article. Not sure.
